In keeping with the belief that fashion is language that transcends the boundaries of time, an invisible thread that binds together different generations and integrates different pieces of our life together in seamless form, the Cosmetology and Beauty Care department of the college organized ‘MCM Khoobsurat Fest- a journey through 100 yrs of fashion makeover – kal-aaj aur kal’, an awe- inspiring event that took the audience on a magnificent sojourn through different phases of fashion starting from the mesmerizing 1950s to a speculative portrayal of the 2050s.
Mr. K.K. Sharma, Advisor to the Administrator was the chief guest at the event. Mr. Sharma said that “MCM is one of the finest institutions, which has earned quite a name in the country. This event shows how future oriented you and your efforts are. The whole infrastructure is so good and impressive and the staff is so efficient that you can bring a great change in the young minds.” The event highlighted various fashion trends which were popular at different times through a superlative replication of conventions popularized by the iconic Indian film industry celebrities of various times.
The event was a glorious voyage that circumscribed the cruise of ever- changing trends over time. It became a platform for highlighting how latest trends and their study is increasingly becoming a professional and academic appeal. The chief guest was highly appreciative of the innovative vocational training imparted at MCM. He termed MCM as an apt admixture of tradition, modernity and professionalism.
