Kishtwar : The students, faculty members and other staff of Kishtwar Campus have thanked the Hon’ble Minister of Irrigation and Flood Control Taj Mohiuddin for providing drinking water supply to the Kishtwar Campus, which was a longly pending demand of the staff and students fraternity of Kishtwar Campus. In this connection a meeting of the faculty members, students and other staff was held under the Chairmanship of Dr. Zahoor Ul Islam, Incharge Department of Geology (Hydrology & Soil Dynamics) in which the speakers lauded the efforts of Taj Mohiuddin for taking personal interest in providing drinking water facility to Kishtwar Campus. They said that Kishtwar Campus for last few years was facing the acute shortage of drinking water. The matter was brought into the notice of the Minister for Irrigation & Flood Controll by the Director Kishtwar Campus, Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik.
The minister immediately reacted and directed the Ex. En. PHE Kishtwar Division to provide the drinking water supply line to Kishtwar Campus. The water pipe line was laid within one month and today the water supply to Kishtwar Campus was started .The speakers said that today Kishtwar Campus has become the most vibrant Campus in the Jammu region. They also thanked the Vice Chancellor of University of Jammu Prof. M.P. Singh Ishar for his keen interest in developing Kishtwar Campus as a model one. They demanded the Vice Chancellor to appoint the permanent Faculty and other staff at Kishtwar Campus and other courses like M.A. Persian, Urdu Journalism, and Disaster Management be started at Kishtwar Campus as the area is Literary and Culturally very rich. They said that the Kishtwar area has produced towering poets and writers of international fame. They also thanked the Vice Chancellor for appointing Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik as the Director of Kishtwar Campus who within a short span of time has organised a number of Literary and academic seminars bringing Kishtwar campus into the lime light besides coordinating other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that are adding to the sheen of the Campus and exposing students to the true university environment.

Ritu Singh Parihar, Dr. Bilal Ahmad Bhat, Dr. Kaiser Malik, Mr. Pradeep Singh and Mr. Naveed Anjum Danish from the Faculty, Miss. Surbhi, Miss Auliya, Mr. Naveed, Mr. Moomin, Miss. Maheen, Miss. Shagufta, Mr. Anzar, Mr Shakti, and Mr. Naeem from students and Mr Mubashir Hussain (Liasion Officer Kishtwar Campus) and Mr. Ab. Rasheed zargar from the other staff.
