PASIGHAT, Feb 20: The ‘Hill Top Radiance’ came to a close. The three-day College Day, marking a serious of academic, cultural and sports events concluded on Sunday evening at the lower campus auditorium of JN College, acclaimed to be the best institution in the state. Col. SK Pandey, Chief Engineer (Project Brahmank) BRO and Dr. BN Hazarika, Dean of College of Horticulture & Forestry, Pasighat graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively. Speaking on the occasion Col. Pandey said the annual festival was dedicated to the celebration of creativity and was a stimulating event brimming with youthful dynamism.
It brought together the best student talent in fields of music, dance, sports and art and culture. Concluding his insightful speech, Pandey narrated some interesting instances and poems giving a micro view with his observations on the entire exercise and its benefits. Earlier, the Guest of Honour Dr. Hazarika while congratulating faculties and students for successful conduct of College Day stated such celebration facilitates greater understanding and interactions among the students spreading brotherhood. The achievements of the college are praiseworthy with the declaration of the UGC as a ‘CPE’ (College with Potential for Excellence).
He lauded faculties and students for their untiring efforts and advised the students to be more sincere, dedicated and hardworking for progressive careers. The college Principal T Talom conveyed his thanks to the guests and invitees and extended his best wishes to the students for both academic and sports-cultural activities. The other highlights of the day were cultural presentation and prize distribution.
