Amritsar, April 30 : Professor A.S. Brar, Vice-Chancellor of the Guru Nanak Dev University decided to provide special concession to the Kashmiri Migrants who desired to seek admission in the technical and professional courses in the University from this academic session. The Syndicate of the University has already accorded their approval.
This concession would be given to the Kashmiri Migrants who continue to face hardships as per the instructions of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Govt. of India.
Dr. Inderjit Singh, Registrar while detailing more said that in those technical/professional departments at the University Campus and its Regional Campuses and constituent colleges where there is only one applicant from Kashmiri Migrant, admission may be granted if the candidate fulfills all the requirements and qualifications.
He said that in case there is more than one candidate from Kasmiri Migrants, the admission may be granted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam as per rules of the University.
