February 26-Dr. Vinod Bala Taxak, Associate Prof., Department of Chemistry of Mahrishi Dayanand University, Rohtak has got reward for her research paper presented in the International Conference on “Green Technology for Environmental Rehabilitation (GTER-2012) at Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar. The title of her research paper was “ Synthesis and Photoluminescent properties of BaZrO3: Eu Nanophosphors.
Dr. Taxak research Paper was appreciated by all and selected for first oral presentation. She received a citation and Rs. 2500 cash prize. The award was presented to Dr. Vinod Bala Taxak, in the valedictory function by Prof. Ramesh Chandra, Vice Chancellor, Mewar University, Prof. Swatantra Kumar, Vice Chan, Gurukul Kangri University and Prof. Mahavir Pro Vice Chancellor, Gurukul Kangri University.
The session on NanoScience and Technology was Chaired by two eminent scientists namely Prof. H.P.Tiwari , former Vice Chancellor of Allahabad University and Prof. S.P.Ojha , former Vice Chancellor, Meerut University. There were more than 700 participants in the Conference from different parts of India and abroad. More than 100 participants presented their research papers as Oral Presents.
Dr. Taxak is working on light emitting material and Naophosphors from the last 10years. She visited South Korea and worked there as Visiting Scientist in 2002-03. In 2010 she presented her research paper on Nanomaterials in International Conference at Las Vegas,USA. She has submitted one major research project to UGC, Delhi and She was invited to present the research project before Expert Committee at UGC, Delhi. The Chemistry Department, MDU, has established research Laboratory for synthesis and Characterization of Light emitting materials or Nanomaterials. Scanning Electron Microscope has been purchased from Japan. Department received Rs 1.2 core grant from Union Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Science and Technology, under Fund for
improvement of science and technology infrastructure in universities and higher education.
