Banur : Dr IT Group of Institutes, Banur celebrated Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the ‘Iron Man’ and the ‘Bismark’ of India by organizing a seminar. Shri Vishal ji, Social Worker and Associated with Sardar Bhagat Singh Vivekanand Vichaar Kendra (under Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala) was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Students made presentations on the illustrious life and memorable contribution of Sardar Pate to the formation of Indian polity as fully integrated Union of States.
The Chief Guest, Shri Vishal ji, traced the historical context of the active life of Sardar Patel, both as a member of Indian National Congress and as a strong man in the first Union Cabinet as ‘Home Minister’. He said, “Sardar Patel is in a way the architect of independent India as he laid the solid foundation for its emergence as a great nation. He was nationalist to the core and fully secular in outlook. He was a disciple and associate of Mahatma Gandhi and integral part of the core group of Congress. He was forceful speaker and inspired the members of the political outfit and possessed keenness and ability to discuss all political issues within the party’s inner circle and in negotiations with the different other groups. His contribution shall be remembered by all future generations in India”.
Shri Man Mohan Kamal Mahajan, Chairman of the Dr IT Group, in his message, extolled the qualities of head and heart possessed by the tall figure of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. He expressed the hope that the Indian youth will learn from the life of Sardar Patel the lessons in nationalism and patriotism with human values to make the best possible contribution towards ‘Swatchh BhaRAT, Strong Bharat, Spiritual leader Bharat and Messenger of Peace Bharat”.
Professor P. Parkash Arya, Managing Director of Dr IT Group of Institutes elaborated on the theme of the Seminar and highlighted the contribution of Sardar Patel. He said, “ Sardar ji was a greatness in profile. He has made history by integrating the princely states into ‘One India’. History of India’s freedom from the British rile can not be completed without referring to Sardar Patel. He lived for the country; he lived meaningful life for our better and free India; his sacrifices inspire all youth with fervor of patriotism”.
