Christmas was celebrated with great pomp and joy in Kendriya Vidayalaya Sector 31-D Chandigarh. The tiny tots stepped in the school wearing red Santa caps and costumes.
The occasion was marked by the arrival of tiny tots dressed as Santa Clause who brought gifts and sweets for the children. Students sang carols and danced around Santa decorated X-Mas trees for house competition. The Principal, Mrs S K Bhatia urged the students to spread the message of love, peace and brotherhood in the society. The festive wave prevailed in the KV for the whole day.
The students performed the ‘Nativity Scene’ complete with Mother Mary with the infant Jesus in her arms. During the assembly, children sang Carols and the air was merry with the sound of “Jingle Bells”. Afterwards children of Primary Section had community lunch.
Students and Staff of KV 31also bid tearful farewell to Mrs Survarcha Sharma, PGT (Hindi) on her Superannuation after 28 years of service in KVS.
