Chandigarh, November 14 Jagpreet Singh Sandhu To refresh the minds of Chacha Nehru’s brigade, the Education Department of Chandigarh Administration organised a cultural programme on the occasion of Children’s Day at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh.
The chief guest on the event was Finance-cum-Education Secretary Sh. V.K. Singh. The programme started with an invoction to God by GMSSS-16. A comic skit “Kitabe Bhi Bolti Hain” was presented by Ryan International, much to the delight of the audience. Rajasthani folk, Gypsy dance, Bhangra and an action song mesmerised the audience. Amit of GMSSS-MHC, a runner up of “Dance India Dance”, a reality show, presented a solo performance.
Education Department is also playing host to a delegation of 33 students and five teachers from Singapore as part of Education Exchange Programme during which students from Yishun Secondary School, Singapore arrived today on a 5 day tour to Chandigarh. During their stay in the city these students and their teachers will visit different schools of Chandigarh for interactive sessions.
