Madras Blues is organising “The Careers in Radio Workshop” scheduled for Sunday 18th December. The event is targeted at college students and professionals interested in broadcasting.
The event will be held between 11 am to 2 pm at Suman Mulgaonkar Auditorium, ICC Towers, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune 411016.
900 New FM Stations. 300 Towns. 10000 Jobs.
The workshop is organised in wake of the biggest expansion of FM Radio in India. The list of almost 900 stations across 300 towns was released by the I&B Ministry throwing open private FM Radio stations to setup their stations there. This translates into 10000 jobs up for grabs in various fields in radio, and not just radio jockey.

Speakers
Prashant Pillai an ex-radio evangelist and now a successful music composer post the success of his debut Bollywood film Shaitan will be the Keynote speaker for the workshop and will be joined by his friends who are current and ex radio professionals from across radio networks of the likes of Radio City, Radio One, Red FM, Fever FM and more.

The growth in this sector is immense and people have made successful careers by having a good opening innings with radio” says Akkshay Patil ex-radio jockey from Pune, popularly known as RJ Ashwin who will also be one of the guest speakers.
