Chandigarh 16th June, 2014 : A delegation led by Sanjay Tandon, President BJP Chandigarh met Advisor to Administrator K K Sharma and Finance Secretary Sarabjit Singh to adjust contract basis teachers under Sarv Sikhsha Abhiyan Society, Computer teachers and Guest teachers teaching in different schools of Chandigarh as regular and confirmed employees in Chandigarh Education Department.
Mata Ram Dhiman Sr Vice President BJP Chandigarh, Chander Shekher State General Secretary BJP Chandigarh, Councillor and leader of BJP in Corporation Arun Sood, Convener of Education Cell Ramesh Sahore also accompanied Sanjay Tandon.
Delegation raised the issues of 2000 approx teachers working on contract basis, under Sarv Siksha Abhiyan Society, computer teachers and guest teachers.
Advisor to the Administrator and Finance Secretary Chandigarh Administration assured the delegation that the Administration will adjust the teachers in UT Education Department on regular basis very soon and the procedure is under process. Administration has already taken the permission from Govt of India to absorb the all contract basis teachers either TGT or PGT. On the request of delegation Advisor and FS also assured to send the proposal to Govt of India in favor of teachers working under SSA and computer teachers within next two days.
Mr Tandon also raised the case of 400 families of Kajheri Village who were having their own land falling under Kajheri Village and Chandigarh Administration acquired their land long time back but never paid any compensation and never took possession of above said land. Now the law has changed and residents want to reside on said land. On this issue Advisor to Administrator and Finance Secretary To look in to the matter personally and will make efforts to give relief to the families very soon.
BJP State president Sanjay Tandon told that on these issue The Democratic Organisation of SSA teachers UT Chandigarh and BJP Chandigarh Party Activists met with Advisor to the Administrator , Finance Secretary of Chandigarh Administration and it is learnt that MP from Rajasthan Mr Arjun Meghwal raised the issue on Loksabha also.
