RAJOURI, Friday, Aug 30 ; Alhuda Educational Trust (AET) Rajouri has said that internal bickering and boycott of classes by teachers in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is against the interests of the people of Rajouri and Poonch and this attitude is exercising major loss to the students who are enrolled in this University.
In a Press Release Chairman, Alhuda Educational Trust Rajouri, Ameer Mohammad Shamsi has said that teachers strike in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is against the interests of the students community in particular and Rajouri Poonch people in general. He said that for the last 4 days, teachers have refused class which is great loss to the students and a matter of concern for the society of Rajouri Poonch who have paid handsome fees to the University for providing education. He said that although teachers demand can be genuine and University administration must solve all the problems in the University but it should not be at the cost of loss to students’ community. “I want these demands solved but let teachers also own their responsibility of teaching and resume their work so that the interests of the people of this region is not hurt”, Shamsi said adding that it is unfortunate that teachers have adopted stern attitude which is badly affecting students community.
Terming the University is asset for the people of this region, Shamsi said that people of Rajouri Poonch have kept close vigil on the activities of the University and people will respond if the situation created by teachers remains same. He said that the residents are having hopes on the University and they will not tolerate non seriousness in the teaching at any cost. “University are made for students and when there is no teaching, the aim of opening such University will go in vain”, he said appealing teachers to avoid exercising more loss to the students. He also appealed University administration to mitigate the problems of teachers and students so that it runs smoothly.
He said that there are reports of internal bickering and this is going to affect the functioning badly. He said that there should be no community like Gujjar, Kashmir and Pahri in the University all should be seen with same eye.
Alhuda Educational Trust (AET) Rajouri has demanded that a special transport services should be made available on the University route because students and staff are complaining shortage of vehicles plying on the route. He said that they have witnessed heavy overloading and huge rush on the vehicles which is dangerous for the safety and security of the students community.
