Mohali, November 14 : Tiny tots of Ashmah International School, Sector 70 celebrated Children’s Day with great fevour . Jubilant kids, dressed in colorful attires, were seen enjoying the celebrations with their classmates, teachers and staff members of the school.
The campus was decorated with flowers, balloons, along with the beautiful display of Chacha Nehru’s photographs, on the entire campus. The celebrations started with the garlanding of the portrait of Pt Nehru by Principal Roopinder Ghuman. . The teachers taught the kids about the relevance of the day.
Cultural extravaganza marks In the memory of “Chacha Nehru”. Tiny tots of the school put up a remarkable spectacle of dance, music and action-packed sequences, which enthralled the audience like never before. Games like hammering the mouse, triple your money, hoopla, ‘hit the pot’ and ‘touch me not’ were also organized.
Principal of the school Roopinder Ghuman guided the children to follow in the footsteps of Chacha Nehru and hence bring good name to their families and the school.
She also gave a message of co-operation to the children. She urged the students to pay their true homage to Pandit Nehru by following his ideologies and principles in life.
Director of the school, Mr. J.S. Kesar appreciated the great efforts of the young learners and spoke on the life and contribution of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru towards the freedom and development of the country.
He said the children are the future of the country and it was our duty to ensure their overall personality development. He further added that the prosperity and strength of a nation depended largely upon the health, well-being and education of its children.
Later on, the Mr. J.S. Kesar distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions. Food items were served to students.
