Chandigarh, 09 Aug : The environs of the Lawrence Public Sen Sec School wore a festive look with twinkling lights and a riot of balloons. As many as 500 students enthralled the audience with their endearing and enthusiastic performance in a spectacular show at Tagore theatre.
The show started with the lighting of the eternal lamp of knowledge by the chief guest R J Khanderao Joint Secretary CBSE. Little students of Class II welcomed the parents and paid salutations to Ma Saraswati. Vibrant music, breath taking colors and highly coordinated movement set the tone for various folk dances.
Then came the turn if fairy tales. Students in the age group of three to six years looked nothing less than fairies & flowers. Different kinds of items showing diversity in the world were presented on the stage. The Pustak Raja is shown various events related with books like Cinderella, Puss in the Boots, Ali Baba, Hadi Rani & Merchant of Venice. The students were awarded their academic prizes and all-rounder medals to the outstanding students. The programe concluded with the Shagna Da Veda and Bhangra. The chief guest gave way prizes to merit students the Principal Mrs. Veena Malhotra extended a vote of thanks.
