Panchkula : Dedicated to the great teacher, mentor, visionary, our former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, fifth season of the annual exhibition ‘The Effervescence-2015’ was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the eminent guests Mr. R.J. Khanderao (Regional Officer, CBSE) and Mr. Gian Chand Gupta (MLA Panchkula Constituency). Creativity was at its best, with the school premises abuzz with young Hansarians showcasing their talent.
The show centered around the concept of ‘Application of Knowledge’ broadly categorised in two categories; Social Sciences and Applied Sciences. Students from classes I-X displayed charts, working models and put up live shows, all presenting a kaleidoscope of their talent. ‘Srijan, an entrepreneurial initiative by the enthusiastic students was another attraction for the guests where they could buy handicrafts made by the students. The school was beautifully decorated with rangoli, buntings, garlands, painted pots etc. each of which were handcrafted in school.
Mr. R.J. Khanderao was highly appreciative of the quality of exhibits and the creative innovation of the young budding scientists, mathematicians and social reformers. He congratulated the students for the fantastic display and communication skills.
The exhibition was visited by a large number of parents and students of various schools in the Tricity, all of whom lauded the efforts of the school to provide a wonderful platform to the young students to enhance their creative skills.
Mr. Gian Chand Gupta congratulated the principal, Mrs. Jaya Bhardwaj for her creative vision and guidance to put up this panoramic display of the students’ skills in all fields of learning.
Thanking the guests for their appreciation and encouragement, Principal Mrs. Jaya Bhardwaj, applauded the efforts put in by the students and teachers. She also thanked the parents for their co-operation to help put this creative vision together. “The loss of the great scientist, Sh. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is an irreparable loss, we paused for a moment, but as he believed, “The show must go on”, we decided to continue with the show. Project Based Learning is the key concept of the event, which is in sync with the CCE pattern of learning. This show aims to provide wings to the students’ creativity and fire their imagination to showcase their potential. At Hansraj, education is an ongoing process and such endeavors provide the much needed platform for excellence among students”, she said.
