Chandigarh : The selected entries for the All India Camel Colour Contest were judged for regional level at Chandigarh. The penal of judges comprising of Ravinder sharma from Arts college and Subhash shorey of Govt model school performed the herculean task of selecting 75 winners from school level prize winners out of 247812 participants from 354 schools from 14 cities of chandigarh and punjab ,said gaurav suri spokesman camel colours, chandigarh region.
The All India Camel Colour Contest 2011 which is in running for last 38 years is the most sought after event in Indian schools. This contest had received 30 lakh participants from 4700+ schools in 2010. As per the organisers, M/S Camlin Ltd. (Which is since renamed as Kokuyo Camlin Ltd.) this year approximately 50 lakh students from 7000 schools have participated in this contest.
