Chandigarh : Annual Day was celebrated with great fervor today, at Adarsh Bal Vidyapeeth (an endeavour of Adarsh Rishikul Kendriya Samskrit Vidyapeetham), Sector 47-C, Chandigarh. Founder President Acharya Shri Atma Ram Mishra, Members of the management, Principal, staff & students of the school and parents were present to commemorate the occasion. Prof. Dr. K.N. Pathak, Professor Emeritus and Former Vice Chancellor of Panjab University, Chandigarh was the Chief Guest.
The programe began with ‘Saraswati Vandana- Hey Sharade Maa’ followed by a dance to welcome the guests ‘Swagatam Shubh Swagatam’. A variety of dance items was presented by students of pre-nursery to class VI which kept the parents tapping their feet all through the show. Tears welled in the eyes of many parents when students of classes IV to VI presented their item on the the Sufi Qawwali ‘Apne Maa Baap Ka tu Dil na Dukha’. It was definitely the main attraction of the day. A huge round of applause was garnered by the Rosogullas (girls) of Pre-Nursery when they danced to the tune of Jhun Jhun Moina. The boys of the class had a blast on the song ‘Bum bum Bole’. Then the Nursery girls performed to the tunes of ‘Awara Bhavre’ and ‘My heart goes shalala’. Boys of Nursery danced to the tunes of ‘Musu Musu Hasi Dyo’ and ‘Koi kahe kehta rahe’. The most natkhat song was ‘Arre ja re hut natkhat’, performed by the students of K.G. Class which had the theme of Holi. Lined up next was the song ‘Yahan ke hum sikandar’. The students of Class I had a dhamaal when they danced to the tune of ‘Chak Dhoom Dhoom’ which was followed by the septet of girls gyrating to ‘Aaja Nach le’. Class II girls mesmerized everyone with their Gujarathi Dance ‘Dholida Dhol Re Vagad’ while another group performed on Goan Song ‘Ya ya Mayaya’. Class III chose to show their attitude when they danced to the tune of ‘Indiawale’. Students of Class V and VI performed impeccably on the famous Rajasthani Dance ‘Resham Ka Rumal’. The function ended with a Punjabi Tadka on the song ‘Mohe Mohe Tu Rang De Basanti’.
Dr. K.N. Pathak appreciated the efforts put in by all the students and their teachers. He had special words of praise for the anchor who covered a variety of subjects related to education, tackling problems, humanity etc. His message was “Education is the tool which helps one to surge ahead in life.” Dr. K.N. Pathak also distributed the awards to the Winners of Science & Mathematics Olympiad conducted by SOF.
Parents too lauded the efforts put in by the teachers and students in putting up a wonderful show.
