CHANDIGARH—DST INSPIRE Internship Program Centre, Panjab University (PU), Chadigarh will be organizing second DST INSPIRE Internship Camp from August 17-21 at PU Campus. The official of the public releation department PU stated that students presently studying science subjects in Class XI or have to take admission in Class XII (Science) would participate in the five-day camp on the basis of their marks in Class X examination.
As a whole 500 students will be selected for the camp on the merit basis marks obtained in Class X examination. Different eligibility criteria has been fixed for different states in the region. For CBSE-CGPA (A1) it is 9.1 to 10; ICSE95 per cent; Haryana 88.8 per cent; Punjab 81Punjab 81.3 per cent; Himachal 84.5 per cent; Uttar Pradesh 72.6 per cent; Uttarakhand 75.2 per cent; Rajasthan 83.1 per cent; J and K 87.2 per cent Gujarat 86.4 per cent.
The students participating in this five day camp will have an excellent opportunity to
attend thought provoking lectures, open discussions, laboratory demonstrations, hands-on
innovative experiments, encourage group activities, facilitated self-learning, close
interactions, and motivation towards independent thoughts and inquiry-based questions.
All the participating students will be provided travel expenses, accommodation
(outstation candidates), meals and study materials for all five days of the camp. There
is no registration fee.
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE) internship camp is fully sponsored by the department of science and technology, Government of India.
The principals have been requested to recommend all eligible students. Completed
registration form (hard copy) along with attested copy of class X mark sheet recommended
by the Principal should reach Dr Anurag Kuhad, Program Coordinator, INSPIRE Internship
Program Centre, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University,
Chandigarh on or before August 4, 2015.
Schools are also invited to send their application for displaying innovative scientific ideas during the Inspire camp as an exhibition of their scientific competency. Out of all ideas, five best innovative scientific ideas will be awarded. The principals have also been requested to depute escort/accompanying teacher/s with the students. The escort teacher/s will also get the chance to interact with eminent scientists during lectures and practical sessions. They will be provided

List of selected students will be put up on the Panjab University website on August 12,
2015. However, all eligible students are invited to attend the camp. Selected students will be informed about details of the camp by August 14, 2015. All eligible students should arrive in proper school uniform at the venue at 8:00 am on August 17, 2015.
