3 Apr :Shri Ramnish, Supdt. of Police, CBI, has been awarded CBI Gold Medal for the best Investigating Officer-2006. Shri Sandeep Mehra, and Smt. Seema Pahuja, both Inspectors of Police, CBI, have been awarded CBI Gold Medal for the best Investigating Officer-2007. Shri S.Devendran, Sr. Public Prosecutor, CBI, Shri R.K.Saini, Sr.Public Prosecutor, CBI and Shri Pawan Kumar Dogra, Public Prosecutor, CBI have been awarded CBI Gold Medal for the best Prosecuting Officer-2005, 2006 and 2007 respectively. Shri L.C.G.Naidu, Constable, CBI has been awarded best detective Constable of CBI for the year 2008. These officers/officials have been awarded with Gold Medals along with Director’s Commendation Certificate & cash awards.
Shri Ramnish joined CBI in 1994 as Dy.Supdt. of Police through Civil Services. In the beginning, he was associated with the housing scam cases related to Govt. accommodation. The charts prepared by him depicting the modus operandi of the touts in this case were highly appreciated by the Hon’ble Supreme Court. He has also remained associated with important cases against a Senior IRS Officer, Telgi, etc. He was also Investigating Officer of the kidnapping case of an NRI in 2001, which was solved within 3 days. After promotion as Supdt. of Police, he was also associated with the Naval War Room leak case. Now he is scheduled to represent India in U.S.Peacekeeping forces in Sudan.
