Tanveer-ul-Ahad , Srinagar: Army and paramilitary forces Tuesday launched a massive search operation in major areas of Lolab in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A joint team of army’s 28 RR, 18 RR, 47 RR, 29 RR, 52 RR and 8 sector launched a major combing operation in several villages of Lolab that include Diver, Andergam, Dilbagh, Kakarpati and Dardpora following the speculation of presence of last week’s injured militants in the area.
A team of army’s 47 RR, 29 RR and 52 RR were called to Lolab for assisting the troops for carrying out the operation.
It is worth mentioning here, on Sunday army’s 28 RR and SOG reportedly had a brief encounter with militants in forest area of Dardpora in Lolab, Kupwara in which army claimed to have recovered some arms and ammunition.
