Sir,1. There is some propaganda going on against the Forces in uniform & negative comparison of Defence Officers with IAS/ IPS lobby. Uniform mean not Police but Defence Forces, obviously. Then why to compare bureaucracy/ IPS Vrs Defence Officers? Both have different roles to play in the biggest democratic India. We must realize & read to the ground realities. Some examples can be for easy assimilation:
2. During floods/ crises Bureaucracy always collapses & Defence forces comes for rescue leaving behind their own duty/ border duty. We save public lives & properties and restore situation. Thereafter, bureaucracy start leveling up Funds & donations released by S Manmohan Singh, PM. Same way Finance Dept have all the funds available on Politician’s orders but not for our One Rank One Pay or Soldier’s pay, who have been protecting Nation & its sovernety at the cost of their comforts & life. Most of them do not come back home in one piece.
3. Selection criteria for both bureaucracy & Gentlemen Officers of Defence are similar in their own way. Bureaucracy claims of more intelligence & diplomacy/ corruption, where as Defence forces claim more on National loyalty, reliability, accountability & discipline factors. Operational role, admn & management element of Defence never fails, where as Police & bureaucracy is ment to gobble out law & order all over, under the orders from elected Politicians? Because, accountability factor is missing & no one is ever punished for inefficiency & corruption in civil. Still an IAS & IPS with 10 year’s service is entitled & demands salute from a 20 Year’s Colonel or Brigadier? Can you tolerate this & for how long?
4. Powers & pay criteria says that do not listen to the genuine problems of Defence Forces & keep over ruling all logics & truths of universe. Defence Forces work round the clock for 24×7 for 281 days in a year. Where as Babus work for 8×5=40 hrs for 165 days only, still they are graded higher & paid more with faster promotions & increments of longer service period. Babus do not serve & live in uncongenial mountains, snow, jungles under fears & tension of militancy. Where as Soldiers fight them at the cost of their own families. Where as Soldier’s property & family is never safe in bureaucratic rules. Therefore, Soldiers simply deserve 3 times more pay & perks to match corruption.

Main Na manu bureaucratic attitudes over clear logics & truths make us believe that there is some foreign intelligence hand in reaching no return situation, with intension to spoil very basic fabric of the Indian Forces. Our chiefs never had to exert this much & struggle against negative attitudes & wrong thinking of decision makers, to protect the legitimate entitlements, honour & value of the Defence Forces. We are more than 40% in the Central Govt employees; still no member of Forces is taken in the Pay Commissions, nor is separate pay commission granted for Forces. Bureaucracy have been caught red handed cheating Defence Forces & ESM, still we are told to go to Courts for getting refunds & no action is taken against defaulter Babus? No Politician or intellectuals are speaking for the Forces, because their own children are not in the Forces nor they have time to think & understand real problems of Forces, as long they are safe in fast asleep. ESM commission approved is also diluted to house Babus & ladies, who never care for our welfare.
6. Therefore, we request our press media to come forward for the rescue & protection of National Security & its Forces from ill designs. There have never been so much of agitations, discontentment and loud cries by the ESM Community all over the Country for the sake of our Value & honour in corrupted system.
