Dear Sir, 1. It is observed by Ex-Servicemen Community & our National Steering Committee that Govt/ Pay Commission and its review committees are not serious enough to settle this National problem issue. Because they do not appreciate Defence & ESM problems, nor they have taken Defence Community members in it to decide our fate. No interim relief wef 1/1/06 have been released to overcome our immediate financial hardships. We have no hopes from such attitudes. No worth while steps are being taken to attract better talents to make the National Security stronger. Therefore, it has been decided to hold more serious protests, Nation wide, this time in 600 towns on 6/7/08. Details of next, Kargil Day Rally on 27/7/08, will be decided later on.
2. In this contest, a special meeting was held today at Mohali (10am), in which Heads/ reps of Indian ESM League Pb & Chandigarh, Defence Brotherhood, ESM Organisation (PBORs), ESM Grievances Cell, Majha ESM Assn & many ESM intellectuals, took part actively. It was decided to hold a bigger & more effective Protest Rally, some where at central place in Chandigarh on 6th July 08. All ESM are requested to join for Justice. More details & other modalities are being worked out. This Rally will again be a peaceful & in befitting dignified manners.
3. Our main demands have been:
a. A Separate Pay Commission for the Defence Forces, of the Defence community likes many democratic countries.
b. Resettlement up to 60 Yrs in Civil Admn, or 85% pension of last pay.
c. One Rank one pay formula & LTC for ESM
d. National Policy on Job & other concessions guarantee.
e. Relativity & order of Precedence- Status formula.
f. Disability, Family Pensions & Casualty compensations, inadequate.
g. To improve service terms & conditions, rules for proper justice at each point.
h. Security of Property & accountability of Civil Admn.
i. Armed Forces tribunal, Voting right & No income tax on Pay/ Pensions.
k. Commuted Value of Pension, ESM Status & so on, which they do not want to understand & solve.

The pay commission has been abnormally delayed.
What is the action taken by the Government to declare the pay commission.
delayed declaration may effect the date of effecting.
The government should not change the effective date of revision from 01.01.2006.
The delayed declaration may spoil the image of the government.
IT IS SAD THAT THE GOVT IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE WELFARE OF ESM.
I DONT THINK THE GOVT IS LIKELY TO EVEN READ UR DEMAND LIST LEAVE ALONE AGREE TO MEET THEM. NO ONE CARES ABOUT THE SERVING FAUJIS….WHY WILL THEY BOTHER ABOUT THE RETIRED ONES.
BEST OF LUCK
RAGHU
