Chandigarh: Sep 05 : Two day specialized training course on ‘Overview and structure of Income tax, Calculation, deduction of Income Tax and remittance thereof ‘ concluded here today which gave a distinct exposure to the Drawing and Disbursing Officers (DDOs) with the core issues of TDS provisions.
The training was valedicted by Smt. Neeraj Vinay Banasal, Commissioner of Income Tax, Regional Training Institute, Chandigarh. The course was inaugurated yesterday by Smt. Nita Kapoor, IDAS, Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Western Command ).
Shri P.C. Modi, Commissioner of Income tax (TDS) N.W. Region, Chandigarh who delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Relevance of TDS provisions under Income tax and Role & obligation of TDS deductors’ alongwith Smt. Deepika Mittal, Addl. Director of Income Tax (Systems), Delhi, who delivered a lecture on the topic ‘Role & obligation of deductors in E-TDS scenario’ were the attractions of the training programme in the sense of imparting very valuable information
Hundred Officers from various field offices of defence accounts department (Western Command), located all over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh undergone this specialized training Course, which was coordinated jointly by Defence Accounts Department and Income Tax department of Chandigarh.
Ms Minisri Bisht, Deputy Controller ,PCDA (WC) conveyed her thanks to Ms Bansal for her extended support and goodwill gesture for which this training programme made possible.
Ms Bisht further said that the knowledge so imparted in the Training Programme will definitely be very useful to the participants of Defence Accounts Department in identifying the various issues of generic & specific nature having a direct bearing on the efficiency and efficacy of the delivery system as payment and accounting authority. Later Sh P C Modi, Commissioner, Income Tax, TDS gave away the certificates to the officers participated in the course.
