Commenting on the J&K Assembly elections, Mr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director General, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) congratulated the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party and Bharatiya Janata Party for bagging the maximum number of seats.
“CII hopes that a stable government would be formed in J & K which would focus on sustaining the economic growth and attracting investments and enabling job creation in the State. CII would particularly like to work with the new Government on Tourism, education, skill development, entrepreneurship, manufacturing with a special focus on MSMEs, to help transform the state into a vibrant, technologically innovative and socially inclusive state and meet the aspirations of the people of J & K”, added Mr Banerjee.
“We will extend our full support to the new Government and greatly look forward to engaging with its leaders. The new government should aim to revive the business confidence, fast track infrastructure projects, focus on reforms and attract investments, said MrZubinIrani, Chairman, CII NR & President – Building & Industrial Systems (India) United Technologies India Private Limited.
“CII hopes that the new State leadership will work to promote sustained inclusive growth & development. CII is confident that the new Government would be industry friendly and would strengthen J&K’s position both economically and socially”, he added.
”The big agenda of the next government should be targeted towards reviving the business confidence with focus on longevity and timely implementation of the stalled infrastructure as well as manufacturing projects and removal of various procedural and other bottlenecks”, said Mr Asif Burza, Chairman, CII J & K State Council.
Mr C P Gupta, Vice Chairman, CII J&K State Council said that “CII is committed towards a strong engagement with the state government in helping to keep up the pace of economic growth and development in J & K and also addressing specific issues of development and livelihood.
“We have been working very closely with the state governments in the past and will continue to render our full support in all progress linked endeavours, which are key to attain sustainable development”, he further highlighted.
