Dirgha Raj Prasai :
Constitutional Monarchy and Hindu Kingdom of Nepal is the way to
maintain the Harmonious relation between Nepal and India. Nepal and
India are only the two pious Hindu countries in the world. Hinduism.’
probably only we, two are Hindu countries in the world. In this paper,
my focus obviously is on conservation of our common identity that is
Hinduism and a sustainable cordiality between our two countries.
Hinduism and its cultural traditions have a long history spanning over
a period of thousands and thousands of years and developed over
several eras. It is understood that human civilization started to
advance since the Vedic age. Among all religions of the world,
Vedic-Hindu religion is considered as an ancient religion that is
recognized as the foundation of civilization and as the most liberal
democratic way of life. Hinduism is the mother of all religions. Hindu
religion is the most personally expansive and psychologically
empowering religion on earth.
Hindu religion is the world’s most liberal and tolerant religion.
Despite being a Hindu country, Nepal is the most liberal and tolerant
non-secular country in the world. The philosophy of Hinduism is guided
as- “to refrain from all evils, to do what is good and to purify the
mind”. High thinking & Simple living is the way of Hindus. In
Sanskrit, Hindu means ‘Hi’= Sun, ‘Indu’= moon. Nepalese national flag
is also decorated by Sun and Moon. The triangular flag with the Sun
and Moon is based on the principles of Hinduism. The national flag of
Nepal has its own identity and recognition in the world. The Nepalese
flag is very inclusive and represents to all the castes and tribes
insisting the nature. The flag of Nepal is the symbol of unity in
diversity. The Maoist wants to change the national flag. That is why;
the intention of Maoist is to abolish the identity of Nepalese
nationality. To change the national flag is irrational. The Nepalese
people believe, Nepal will remain eternal till there is the Sun and
Moon. The western renowned philosopher Voltaire, George Bernard Shaw,
German scholar Nitse, Megasthaniz and Fai-Han has written many books
supporting the Hindu philosophy expressing the evolutionary process of
the world’s civilization. Hindu philosophy is incomparably greater
intellectual work than the Bible?
There is a misconception in some minds that Hindu scriptures sanction
the caste system. But being based on Vedas, Hinduism does not permit
any caste system, whatsoever. Vedas, the proud possession of mankind,
is the foundation of Hinduism. Vedas are all-embracing, and treat the
entire humanity with the same respect and dignity. Vedas speak of
nobility of entire humanity (Krinvanto Vishvam Maryam), and do not
sanction any caste system or birth based caste system. Mantra number
10-13-1 of Rig Veda addresses entire humanity as divine children
(Shrunvantu vishve Amrutsya Putraha). Innumerable Mantras of Vedas
emphasize one-ness, universal brotherhood, harmony, happiness,
affection, unity and commonality of entire humanity. Rig Veda, the
Divine Poet declares, “All men are brothers; no one is big, no one is
small.
‘Hindu tradition is focused on similarities and shared traits rather
than differences and exclusions. This makes its identity indefinable
yet definite in its features. This means that despite its universalism
there are a plethora of beliefs and practices that can be uniquely
identified with Hinduism. Without doctrinal rigidity, the Hindu mind
has engaged itself with questions that beleaguer the entire humankind
rather than issues limited to Hindus. A Hindu identity cannot be
sought through conversion or differentiation between believers and
non-believers. It has to be acquired through acculturation and
assimilation through the recognition of such principles and
disciplines that would lead any human being to become a better person
and live in harmony with Dharma — the natural path of righteous
conduct. Thus Hinduism bows to the potential of every individual to
attain enlightenment, to become a messiah unto herself or himself. (An
Indian Scholar Mr. Ram Madhav)
Hindus’ holy literature and great laureates have defined the term
‘Hindu and Hinduism’. Kailash-Mansarowar to Hinda-Mahasagar is the
original place of Hindus and Hinduism is, of course, their philosophy.
The entire pious land has two major parts. The first part is
Himabatkhanda that extends from the Bramhaputra in east and
Kailash-Mansarowar in north to Hindukush in west and Ganga River in
the south. Another second part is Bharatkhand, the great land from
Ganga to Hinda-Mahasagar. An oldest and greatest civilization called
Hinduism originated and developed here.
The history is evident, we people of two countries co-existed in a
peaceful and respectful manner. Most holy example in the history is
set through Bhagwan Ram from Ayodhya and Devi Sita of Janakpur.
Lumbini born Bhagwan Budhha offers enlighten knowledge of peace and,
Indian King Ashoka constructs towers and monuments in Lumbini. Bhagwan
Shiva lives as Pashupatinath in Nepal and as Biswonath in
Kashi-Banarash and is his favourite place. Amarnath-in Jambu,
Doleshore Mahadev in Nepal- Bhaktapur such numerous examples and
explanations in our history not only describe our long term people to
people cordiality, but also provide the basis of our sustainable
future. Our past, present and future of our relationship has been
flourished and sustained due to our common philosophical and religious
belief, on ‘Hinduism.’ If we were not Hindus, our two countries could
have existed sovereign and our relations could have such been cordial.
The reality is that the Hindus’ mind is universal, nonsectarian,
non-religious, scientific, exploratory, methodical, sacred, logical,
investigative, intuitive, objective and inclusive. It is with this
kind of mindset, one can live in peace, wipe out terrorism, root out
sectarian dogmas, value the human life, respect the dignity of
individuals, practice non-violence, tolerate differences, value the
freedom of expression, advocate the pluralistic believes, uphold the
liberty for all, refrain from terror, abstain from destroying other
civilizations, and live in peaceful coexistence. The fact is that
there’s no part of life that doesn’t contain its lessons. If we are
alive, that means there are still lessons to be learned.
Vedic Hindu ancient religion is the devotee of Panchadev (the five
Gods). ‘OM’ is the follower of Vedic Hindu Panchadev. A suffering man
will remember one of the Pachayan Devs (the five Gods). Panchayan
means- it is compulsory to worship the Gods Ganesha, Devi, Surya,
Shiva and Bishnu. If one of them is discriminated while carrying out
the ritual of worship then the worship will not be complete. However,
some Hindu communities have developed their own definition which has
created controversy in the ancient Hindu beliefs. We are all the same.
We Hindus and Buddhists do not want to invite controversy and dispute.
Nepal is stable as a Hindu and Buddhist nation. Our respect to our
compatriot is based on the ancient Vedic Hindu religion. Our concern
and that of Buddhists’ corresponds to each other. Goddess Kali is
worshipped by all Hindus as a manifestation of Shakti – the fierce
destroyer of all evil. Her peaceful manifestation is Goddess Durga.
Like God and Goddess, Cow is known as a shrine for all Hindus and the
Buddhists.
The cow was venerated as the mother goddess in the early Mediterranean
civilizations. The cow became important in Nepal & India, first in the
Vedic period (1500 – 900 BCE). The lord Bhishma also observes that the
cow acts as a surrogate mother by providing milk to human beings for
the whole life. The cow is truly the mother of the world. Cows as
Gifts of all gifts, the cow is still considered the highest in rural
Nepal, India and the Hindu world. So the holy animal- ‘COW’ has
declared a National animal in Nepal.
Scholar Max Mucller has written in his book- ‘India-What Can it teach
us’-‘ Sanskrit no doubt has an immense advantage over all other
ancient language of the East. In a certain Sense we are still speaking
and thinking Sanskrit or more correctly Sanskrit is like a dear aunt
to use and she takes the place of a mother who is no more. Let us take
a brief look at additional evidence to help verify the ides that
Sanskrit was the original language of the world, and that it is
connected with numerous countries and cultures. Latin and Persian are
dialects of Sanskrit. Greek has borrowed a lot from Sanskrit. French &
English are full Sanskrit words, roots and speech forms.
An American Scholar Dr Hiro Badlani writes in his book-‘Hinduism: Path
of the Ancient Wisdom’- ‘The word Veda originate from the root Vid,
which means ‘to know’. The Veda scriptures are considered to be the
divine knowledge perceived by the ancient sages, Rishis. The great
truth which is remains unchanged even today. Hinduism is a vastly
liberal religion. It openly and fervently uncurious and tolerates
differences of opinion, use of discretion, and interpretation based on
one’s own circumstances and perception. In Hindu philosophy,
‘Consciousness’ is considered as a Divine Awareness’ behind all the
activity.’
Henry David Thoreau, American Thinker & Author writes- ‘Whenever I
have read any part of the Vedas, I have felt that some unearthly and
unknown light illuminated me. In the great teaching of the Vedas,
there is no touch of sectarianism. It is of all ages, climbs, and
nationalities and is the royal road for the attainment of the Great
Knowledge. When I read it, I feel that I am under the spangled heavens
of a summer night.’ Mark Twain had expressed- ‘Land of religions,
cradle of human race, birthplace of human speech, grandmother of
legend, great grandmother of tradition. The land that all men desire
to see and having seen once even by a glimpse, would not give that
glimpse for the shows of the rest of the globe combined.’ So, Nepal
and India should follow the Constitutional Monarchy and Hindu Kingdom
of Nepal which can maintain the Harmonious relation between Nepal and
India.
why few politicians and party of Bharat,America, china and few other nations wants to see secular and republic contry Nepal ?
Great political betrayal against Nepal’s monarchy!
In Nepal, since 2006, Nepali Congress (NC), UML and UCPN (Maoist) leaderships had betrayed the Nepalese unity, identities-the Hindu Kingdom and constitutional monarchy. No one can succeed by breaking the agreement. On 24, April, 2006, the uprising came to a stop after an agreement was reached between the monarchy, NC and UML and Maoist included. The agitators were pleading for monarchy as an alternative force in times of crisis. An agreement was reached to reinstate the House of Representatives, which was dissolved under NC recommendation four years ago, although the monarchy did not posses the right to reinstate it. The monarchy reinstated the parliament and appointed Girija Prasad Koirala to the post of premiership. The king himself in the royal palace premises gave the oath of office ceremony of Prime Minister. Gradually, the agreement reached with the king was broken and the royal institution attacked, which is a work of huge betrayal. A political agreement- 24 April, 2006 was a political betrayal.
That is all!
