Manoj Godara, Chandigarh : Everyday we hear people whining and complaining about the way things are happening in our country. The outburst is openly hurled on the social networking sites, family gatherings or even social celebrations. One might stop here for a while and think about this dramatic change as to why so many people are so angry and bitter over prevailing situation. Are we just talking and doing naught or are we so angry with ourselves and the things around us that we have lost faith in our own coping mechanisms?
Sandhya, who was working with an FM channel but left the job and trying her luck in the teaching profession say, “I think the people in general are bitter and angry because they are hurt, disappointed with themselves and others which leads to frequent outbursts. Their craving, wants wishes and desires fall flat on the ground which ultimately transform into frustration and anger.”
Nasheed Ahmad, Head Business Development-Golden Medias, opines that corruption has hit its peak; everyday we come across innovative and ground breaking instances of plundering public funds and faith too. Be it IPL, Commonwealth games, Telecom, Havala, Swiss Bank accounts or politicians/bureaucrats enjoying seven star treatments at our costs. The poor and common man who contributes money for development of country in form of taxes is left stranded and taken for a ride, but some where I believe that we have started it. We need to learn the art of ‘not bribing’ and make these immoral pleasure seekers accountable for every penny that they spend.
Vikas Rathee, ‘Education’ or ‘No Education’ is The Real Reason Behind our anger, bitterness, frustration and hatefulness. UPA has shown minuscule interest to make our India Literate. Its hollow promises are exasperating for everyone especially the youth…Sunk into illiteracy every day is testing and trying for us as the cesspit we are in gets deeper and darker with passage of every second. To save themselves they come out with Furious Solutions to everything and Get Violent with all around them. And the only Solution to this Anger Related problem is EDUCATION….especially Elementary Education. And not those hefty unbearable scams involving hundreds of crores in the name of mid-day meal, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan etc gulped in the name of implementation.
Satyaprakash Tripathy, General Manager with a Dubai based Co., shares, Unemployment and exploitation that goes with it, rampant corruption, child abuse, child labour, discourteous attitude of Sarkari Babus, diminishing human values, declining moral values, casual attitude towards my mother nation, honor killing, treachery, scams, scandals and even media playing with people’s emotions….and much more infuriates me. In this sense my coping mechanism really seems to have failed and I find it so maddening to carry on.
To conclude these are probably the same topics that make up most of our dining table conversations these days. But what keeps me wondering is the fact that the people who are actually at the helm of such awful discussions ever get a good night’s sleep.
