Chandigarh; The joy of giving is something that has been preached about a lot but many ponder about how to act on it or rather many struggle to find a way through which they can reach out to help and touch many lives but alas! They haven’t got any time. So, what is it that can be done?
Seen on tricity’s Indian oil petrol pumps are some young boys clad in identical t-shirts reaching out to people to explain again what Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been professing since long. And as one of the leading petroleum dealers in our country Indian oil is taking this a step forward by starting a campaign favouring this by the name of GiveItUp. The idea is to encourage people to give up LPG subsidy to support weaker sects of society who will be given clean and healthy cooking option as an alternative to cooking on polluting fuels like coal and firewood.
In account of the same many people rallied with placards on 09/07/2015, Thursday morning on the roads of sector 38 starting from Indian oil petrol pump located in same sector. They pledged to give up subsidy to support BPL families. Balloons bearing the same message were also released into the air to spread the message. Those who gave up subsidy also pledged to spread the word to let as many people know about this charity scheme.

People do not know yet what wonders they can do to somebody’s life by giving up this small amount. Mr Jagdeep Rana IOC’s DGM (LPG), PSO were also part of the rally programme, he also urged the well to do people of tricity to give up subsidy & help in nation progress.
