Chandigarh : Dr. K N Pathak, former Vice-Chancellor & Professor Emeritus, Department of physics has been awarded National Academy of Sciences, India NASI Senior Scientist platinum Jubilee Fellowship for his contribution in condensed matter physics.
He will work on the theory of Bose Einstein condensation in cold atomic system in nano Kelvin temperature range. In addition he will work on transport properties nano materials. His awards carries fellowship amount Rs.30000/month plus post of JRF/SRF/RA and contingency of Rs. 1 Lacs. Previously he was holding Indian National Science Academy Senior Scientist position for last 5 years.
