INDIANAPOLIS, APRIL 19 ; Indianapolis will host the U.S. Cricket National Championships at World Sports Park scheduled from August 21 to 24. Tickets for this event are now on sale, Indy Parks and Recreation announced today.
The United States of America Cricket Association (USACA) will select eight teams, one from each region, to play in a tournament to crown a national champion, with matches to be broadcast/telecast on ESPN3.
Indianapolis’ new World Sports Park will host the tournament, showcasing cricket, the second largest sport in the world, to sports enthusiasts from across the U.S.
The tournament will be played in the T20 format of the game, similar to the International Championships recently broadcast on ESPN2, with each match estimated to last three hours. With high scores, this fast-paced format highlights the exciting action and furious side of cricket.
Tickets are $10 per day for adults and just $5 per child, for a great family day at the new World Sports Park.
Ticket options include single day tickets $10 ($5 for ages 12 and under) and Event Pass $32 ($15 for ages 12 and under)
In addition to the event, USACA will announce the 2014 Male and Female Cricketer of the Year.
