CHANDIGARH, DEC 14 ; St. Soldier International School, Sector 28 B, Chandigarh lifted the running trophy for the second consecutive year at the HD Mahajan Memorial Inter-School Contest held at Moti Ram Senior Secondary Model School in Sector 27 here.
In the Inter-School events, Sania of Pre-Nursery Class bagged second prize in the colouring competition. Ashpreet and Japji, Class I stood 2nd and 3rd respectively in poem recitation. Jatin Class VIII and Isha Class IX added to the prize tally by winning 1stand 3rd position. Artistic skills were further rewarded as Diksha Thakur Class XII was 1stin the mehandi competition while Isha Class VIII won 1stprize in making paper rangoli. In biscuit topping competition PriyaBala, Class VIII was 1stand Himani Class IX stood 3rd. Rajat, Class IX stood 3rd in Flower Making.
In the painting competition organized by Central Ground Water Resources at the National level on ‘Save Water’, Jatin Class VIII and Baljinder, Class VII won consolation prizes of Rs.2000 each. Yashbir of Nursery Class won a cash prize of Rs. 3000 for being the second runner-up of a fancy dress competition organized by Hero Cycles for ‘Most Innovatively Dressed’ participant. In the Times of India painting competition titled ‘Message to Society’ held at Elante Mall, Urgain, Mamta and Vishal of Cl X made a clean sweep by winning 1st, 2nd& 3rd prizes.
