INDIANAPOLIS, MAY 4 : Ranjeet Singh of the Missouri Youth Cricket Association has been elected president of the United States Youth Cricket Association, succeeding founder Jamie Harrison.
Yogesh Patel, Anu Babbar (Vice Presidents), George Samuel (Secretary) and Ashok Dubey (Treasurer) are on the Board of Directors.
Members at Large are Christina Tucker, Petal Samuels and Nick Dressler.
On his election as USYCA president, Ranjeet Singh said “I am excited to have been elected USYCA president and I look forward to working with the new USYCA Board of Directors in making the association stronger and better in next three years.”
“I have been closely connected to USYCA since 2012 and admire Mr. Harrison for his commitment and leadership. I take great inspiration from his vision and I hope USYCA will bring together all the youth programs in USA to cooperate and to maximize opportunities for youth at all ages and skill levels to play cricket,” Singh was quoted as saying.
JATIN DISSOCIATES HIMSELF FROM USYCA: Meanwhile, pioneer in cricket education in USA, Jatin Patel of Indianapolis has dissociated himself from the USYCA for any future engagements. In a communication Jatin Patel said “With the heavy heart I’m announcing to distance myself from the USYCA for any future engagements. It wasn’t an easy decision for me because my only interest is to see this beautiful game grow and flourish among youth.”
“All, I can say, I am done with the USYCA and please remove my name from the active membership as well as from the list of members at your site which is listed under Indiana or Indiana youth cricket,” concluded Jatin Patel.
