After the lemon break the Jharkhand girls were charged with fresh energy. Playing with a good team spirit and speed they changed the position by taking a three points lead (35-32) at the end of third quarter. Thereafter, they did not give any opportunity to Tamil Nadu to overtake them and finally clinched the match with a four-point lead (39-35). For Jharkhand, Diksha Alok (10), Aditi Tudu (9), Reena Kundra (5) were the main scorers. Tamil Nadu were served well by Shiny Prasanna (12) and Keerti Rama (8).
In the boys section, having received a shocking defeat at the hands of Jharkhand on the opening day, Chattisgarh. registered a comfortable win against Haryana (60-30).
The Punjab boys thrashed Jammu and Kashmir beating them by 53-4 points. With this second win in three-team pool A Punjab boys topped the pool.
The Punjab girls registered their third victory today beating Madhya Pradesh by 38-21 points and topped the pool.
