CHANDIGARH, SEPT 17 : Four players of 12 Wg, Air Force Chandigarh have been selected in the Indian handball team which will prticipate in the17th Asian Games from September 19 to October 4 at Incheon South Korea. The Air Force players have been included in the Indian squad after a gap of 33 years. Last representation of Air Force was in 1982 Delhi Asian Games. This is a proud moment for Air Force.
The Air Force players in the Indian team are Sgt Mahesh Ugile, Sgt Avin Khatkar, AC Atul Kumar and AC Rakesh Kumar.
The players are trained under the able guidance of WO RK Sharma, chief coach of Air Force handball team. The Air Force team is posted to 12 Wg, AF. One of the selected players, AC Atul Kumar, is a resident of Chandigarh.
