CHANDIGARH, OCT 3 : Delhi defeated Haryana by six wickets in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy on Saturday. Winning the toss Haryana U-19 electing to bat were bowled out for 185 in 49.3 overs. T.P. Bali (30 off 31 balls with 6 boundaries) and S.G.Rohilla (51 off 84 balls with 2 boundaries) and S.D. Dhull unbeaten (50 off 71 balls with 6 boundaries) were the main run getters for Haryana.
Haryana innings witnessed the opening partnership of 42 runs between Bali and A.A.BHama while S.G.Rohilla and S.D. Dhull had a partnership of 77 runs for the 7th wicket. For Delhi left arm spinner Yogesh Sharma bowled a tantalizing length to capture 5 wickets for 23 runs and he was ably supported by Sumit Mathur the other left arm spinner who got 2 for 28.
Replying Delhi scored 186 runs for 4 in 34 overs to record a six wicket win with 16 overs to spare. Delhi logged 4 points while Haryana got zero.
Delhi opened with Rishab Pant and Sarthak Ranjan and the duo put on 48 runs for the first wicket before Sarthak Ranjan was caught by S.N.Jindal off S.D.Aggarwal for 25. Rishab Pant and Himmat Singh had a fruitful partnership of 57 runs for the third wicket.
Himmat Singh then in company of Jonty Sidhu added 45 runs for the 4th wicket before Himmat Singh was caught by Bhambu off S.D.Aggarwal for 36. Jonty Sidhu remained unbeaten on 52 off 62 balls inclusive of 9 boundaries. S.D.Aggarwal 3 for 44 was the most successful bowler for Haryana.
