Chandigarh : Bharatiya Janata Party District 4 activists led by District President Shakti Prakash Devshali took a protest march in Sector 26 against the repeated gang-rape by five Constables of Chandigarh Police with a minor innocent girl child and submitted a memorandum to the DSP East Vijay Kumar. Party demanded immediate termination of all the constables including Daria Police Post Incharge Om Prakash be terminated immediately; the PCR incharge should be dismissed and an inquiry through independence agency be initiated; the case should be referred to a ‘Fast Track Court’ for timely justice and stop repetition of such heinous crimes; police protection to the affected family; proper training to the police personnel to deal with such situations; more female police officers should be inducted in the department and their presence in all the patrolling gypsy should be assured.

While addressing the protesters District President Shakti Prakash Devshali said that these police personnels have diminished the image of police among the general public. The police gypsy deputed for the security of school girls outside the school was used for such heinous crime and the innocent minor girl was repeatedly raped. He said that the society should boycott them socially so that nobody can dare to commit such crimes in future.
