26 Nov : Nagaland Civil Service Association Golden Jubilee celebration 2009 cultural extravaganza was held on 25th November 2009 at the Administrative Training Institute complex Kohima with Home Minister, Nagaland, Imkong L. Imchen as the chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion the chief guest congratulated the NCS officers for their role and contribution. He said that the NCS officers are the backbone of the state and impressed upon the officers that it is of utmost importance and responsibility of the officers to give right direction and guidance to help the people by reaching out to all sections of the people. He lauded the sacrifice and tolerance of the NCS officers for which Nagaland has come thus far. He called upon the NCS officers to identify the problems of the people at the grass root level and bring forward the problems to the higher authority.

The other highlights of the programme included welcome speech by President NCSA, Lithrongla G. Chishi, presentation of NCS anthem (Journey to Peace lyrics and music by Director, Music Task Force, Nagaland, Gugs Chishi), cultural presentation by Khiamnungan cultural club, Zeliang cultural troupe, Rotomi welfare society Kohima and Sangtam Women Cultural Society, Kohima, besides presentation of special number by Anthony and Renbeni, Albert & Anthony and Narsen, Kids for Fame finalist and entertainment by KASBA and DGP Band, Nagaland.
