Chandigarh : Silent protest was demonstrated at the Plaza Sector-17 by members of NGO- Global Alliance for Rights and Duties to represent the public sentiment regarding the Delhi gang-rape case. Members from all walks of life joined hands to show their solidarity and demanded justice for the victim. The President of the organization, Sh. Davesh Moudgil and the General Secretary, Sr. Jasjyot Singh Almast jointly issued the statement, “The Central government should make stringent laws against the offenders. The punishment for such henious crimes should be death sentence and justice should not be delayed in such matters. Quick judgement on such issues reinforces the faith of the people in our legal system. Government of India should set fast track courts and victims should get justice with immediate effect as thousands of similar cases are lying pending in our courts today.
