CBI has started looking into the allegations of pre-raid leaks about raids at 30 places in 11 cities on 04 September 2012. Immediately after these raids, Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal had alleged that these raids are mere eye-wash and he had been sent an email by an employee of one raided company that they had got the information two days ahead. The same allegations were made by India Against Corruption saying that they are not making the employee’s name public so that he is not victimized.
When this news came in Media, Amitabh Thakur, an IPS officer from UP, wrote to the Central Vigilance Commission on 07 September requesting for suitable enquiry and appropriate action in the matter. CBI has taken cognizance of this complaint. Ravi Kant, DIG, Economic Offences-I, CBI Headquarters has written to Thakur to provide the material available with him for urgent necessary action.
