CHANDIGARH, May 15: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Capt Amarinder Singh today warned against the raking up of party issues in public and the media. He said, during the last few days some people have rushed to the media on issues concerning the party which is a severe breach of discipline.
Reacting to the media reports, Capt Amarinder said, the party high command had taken serious notice of this. He warned that if it did not stop, strong disciplinary action will be initiated against those indulging in indiscipline.“If anyone has any grievance, he is at liberty to take this matter up with me, Shri Gulchain Singh Charak or the Congress President herself”, he said, while pointing out, he had already written to the Party President Ms Sonia Gandhi about accommodating more deserving people in the PCC. “When I have already taken up the issue with the Congress President there is no need for anyone to rush to the media or attempt to make political capital of it and serve their personal interest at the cost of the party”, he said.
Capt Amarinder Singh maintained that the Congress was a democratic party and everybody was welcome to meet and take up issues with him or the high command. “But going public and going to the media instead of coming to the party forum amounts to serious indiscipline which will be seriously dealt with”, he warned.
