Ludhiana, November 8, 2008 : Leader of Opposition in the Loksabha, Mr. Lal Krishan Advani will inaugurate the two- day National Conference of Indian Media Centre (IMC) at Pal Auditorium of Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana on November 9.
According to IMC Director, Mr. Shyam Khosla and IMC, Punjab Chapter, General Secretary Dr. Harjinder Singh Lall, Punjab chief minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal will be the chief guest on the occasion.
They said about 125 delegates of IMC from across the nation would participate in national conference. Besides, hundreds of journalists from across Punjab would be participating in the two-day event. They said several prominent leaders, Editors and others would also participate.
Business session would take place after the inaugural session, they said. Delegates from different states would be presenting their progress reports during the Business Session on November 9.
On Monday the Second day, a seminar on "Covering Terrorism: Where to draw the line" would take place during the morning session. Key note address would be delivered by Mr. Chandan Mitra, Editor, Daily Pioneer and Chairman IMC.
A seminar on "Citizen Journalism" will be held during the evening session on Monday. Key note address will be delivered by Mr. Ajay Upadhayaya, Former Editor, Hindustan. On November 11, the delegates will go Amritsar to see Golden Temple, Wagha Border and Durgiana Mandir.
