Mowgli Utsav will be held in November this year also with a view to creating awareness among state’s school students about environment, science, geographical specialities of Madhya Pradesh. The Directorate of Public Instructions has fixed the dates for the competitions to be held during Mowgli Bal Utsav. The selection process will be three-tier.
Senior and junior groups have been formed for competing students. Students of class V to VIII have been placed in Junior Group and Class IX to XII in the senior Group. According to the schedule, essay competition for Junior and Senior groups at the school level will be held on August 27 and for the junior group only on August 30 at Jan-Shiksha Kendra level. A written test will be conducted on September 25 at the block level for the students of Junior Group and Senior Group contestants.A quiz competition will be held on October 9 for the Junior and Senior Group students selected at the block level. Students selected at the district level will be able to take part in State-level Mowgli Utsav to be held at Pench Sanctuary in Seoni district in November. One boy and one girl from Senior and Junior groups standing first in the district-level competition will be selected from every district. However, the Seoni district team will comprise 16 members.
Instructions have been issued to District Education Officers about organising competitions in connection with Mowgli Utsav.
