The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has welcomed the rail budget announcements on setting up diesel engine factory at Vidisha, running Habibganj – Indore double decker train and conversion of four Adarsh Stations.
In his reaction on rail budget, Shri Chouhan said that increase in passenger fare will add to economic burden on common people. He said that the fast progressing Madhya Pradesh expected some more new trains and rail lines.
The Chief Minister said that railway budget must have made enough provisions for completing ongoing railway projects in Madhya Pradesh that include six railway lines and equal number of gauge conversion projects. Similarly, Madhya Pradesh needed super fast trains connecting it to mega cities across the nation. He said that that the Union Railways Minister will take care of state’s expectations.
