Bhopal : The state government has launched “e-Gatimaan Yojana” to remove difficulties being faced by businessmen in downloading Form-49. Commercial Taxes Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya inaugurated the scheme here today.
Under “e-Gatimaan Yojana”, businessmen can get “e-Gatimaan” declaration for transportation of goods in and outside the state through mobile SMS. The “e-Gatimaan Number” obtained through SMS can be produced at departmental check-posts. With this, a businessman will need not carry hard copy of declaration form in transport vehicle and produce it at the check-post.
Businessmen face a lot of difficulties in downloading Form-49. The process needs computer, internet connection, power, printer etc. After downloading Form-49, it has to be signed and hard copy is carried by consigner businessman. “e-Gatimaan Yojana” will remove all these difficulties. However, businessman are free to use Form-49 as before.
For availing facility of “e-Gatimaan”, one has to get registered his mobile number by logging on departmental website. Later, he will send a SMS in prescribed format to 56161. On receipt of SMS, concerning businessman will be given “e-Gatimaan Number” through SMS containing information concerning the goods to be transported. This “e-Gatimaan Number” will have to be produced at check-posts and before mobile checking squads.
Principal Secretary Commercial Taxes Shri Manoj Shrivastava, Commissioner Commercial Taxes Shri Amit Rathore, other officers and businessmen were present on the occasion.
