Bhopal: Saturday, January 1, 2011: Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah has said that letters of understandings will be singed with private sector institutions and companies, which can provide jobs to tribal youths through job-oriented training. Efforts will be undertaken to provide employment to 50 thousand tribal youths during the next three years. Kunwar Vijay Shah was undertaking a review at the meeting of the department’s Jabalpur division officers at village Khatia in Mandla district on Friday. He also instructed the officers to set up a ropeway between Tami and Patalkot in Chhindwara district.
The Tribal Welfare Minister instructed that an action plan should be prepared to further develop the traditional method of treatment practiced by the Baiga primitive tribals. He said that such varieties of seeds should be distributed among tribal families through which they can grow fruits and vegetables in the areas near their houses. The meeting also discussed the extension of works of the development agencies established to ensure development of primitive Baiga and Bharia tribes.
Those present at the meeting included member of State Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Commission Shri Shivraj Singh “Shiv Bhaiyya” and departmental officers.
