Bhopal:Saturday, November 29 : The state government has terminated the services of Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Jaiswal, currently under suspension, after being found guilty of corrupt practices by the court. The Home Department has issued an order recently in this connection. A case had been registered under Sections 420 and 388 of Indian Penal Code as well as provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act by the Special Police Establishment of the Lokayukta, Sagar against Rajkumar Jaiswal, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Scheduled Caste Welfare, Damoh.
The Special Judge Lokayukta, Damoh had found the accused guilty and had awarded him two separate sentences in October 2007. In the first sentence the convicted DSP was punished with six months’ rigorous imprisonment and Rs 500 fine while the second sentence pronounced two years’ rigorous imprisonment and Rs 1000 fine.
The state government has taken the decision to terminate the services of the accused DSP under the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Civil Service (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules 1966 in view of the court’s above orders. The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission has also given its consent to the decision.
