By MOHD MAJID MALIKBHADERWAH,JUNE 02– The Bhaderwah unit of ITI Plumber and CP workers’ Association like other parts today took out a protest rally here and stage a strong protest and demonstration in the premises of PHE Sub Division Bhaderwah and demanded regularisation of their services.The protest rally was taken out from Sari Bazaar and culminated at AEE PHE office Bhaderwah “in which PHE workers of Doda,Thatri, Bhalessa and Khelani participated”.
The rally was led by association’s district President Mohd Sajad Ganai .Angry workers and trained ITI plumbers who are working in department for last ten years raised anti-administration slogans and warned the higher authorities against anti-worker policies.The protesters expressed deep anguish and concern over the alleged callous and dilly dallying attitude of the PHE department towards their demands.They said that their long pending issues including regularization and release of salary on time have remained unresolved despite staging of frequent protests.President Mohd Sajad Ganai, Mushtaq Ahmed , Khushi Mohd , Shezad Ahmed , Nirmal Singh , Ranjeet Singh , Rempal Singh , Mumtaz Ali and others while addressing the gathering of workers said that they had chosen to protest to highlight their demands. “All the demands put forth by us are genuine and we urge the administration to address the problems of workers immediately which include release the wages of CP workers and daily wagers, regularization of eligible ITI and daily rated workers who have completed the seven years service apart from benefits of minimum wages to all the daily rated workers as per SRO-3 and time bound promotion in favour of eligible employees in due date and time”.They also demanded issuance of articles like benches, torches, rain coats, umbrellas, gum shoes and other equipment to the workers.They also informed that next moth a protest and Dharna will be organised outside SC office Doda where workers from Bhaderwah ,Bhalessa ,Thatri , Marmath , Bhagwah ,Kastigarh ,Assar and Gath area participated . They also criticised the attitude of the PHE MInister Sham Lal Sharma for not regularising them .
