Chandigarh, January 9 – Haryana’s most wanted criminal namely Pawan, carrying a cash reward of Rs.25,000, has been arrested today alongwith four other accused by a team of CIA Police, Panipat. All the accused have been arrested following a tip off from a room in Officer Colony located in HUDA Sector-7, Panipat.
While stating this today, a spokesman of Police Department said that all the accused were vicious criminals and were indulged in many unlawful activities. Those arrested have been identified as Pawan alias Bouna alias Vijay, a resident of Malikpur, Safidon in district Jind, Amandeep alias Aman, a resident of Kumaspur road, Govindnagar Basti Samana in Punjab, Sagar alias Tinku of house number 240 Railway Colony, Ludhiana in Punjab, Mohit alias Ramchander, residing near Jasram bridge in Ludhina and Niranjan alias Amit of Jaipur Gadhri in Safidon.
He said that during interrogation, all the accused have confessed their involvement in crimes. Pawan, Aman, Sagar, Mohit, Niranjan and Bijender had made a robbery at gun point at Vodafone office near Paramhans Kutia. The same day Pawan, Bijender and Aman had snatched a motorcycle and Rs.22,000 from someone near Devi Lal Park, Panipat. He said that all the accused were involved in many robberies of the area. All of them have been arrested under section 399, 402 of Indian Penal Code and section 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act.
