Chandigarh, March 16- A new bus stand and a multi-specialty hospital will be constructed in Hisar as Haryana government has transferred 45 acres of land on Sirsa road to Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) which was earlier occupied by a Pig Farm. The new bus stand will be built over an area of 24 acres and a multi-specialty hospital on rest of the land.
While stating this, Dr Amit Kumar Aggrawal, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar said that the decision of building bus stand and hospital was taken in view of larger public interest. The construction of new bus stand would ease congestion of traffic. Similarly, railway over-bridge of Dabra chowk will be four laned. Railway department has also decided to rebuild Kath Mandi bridge. Public conveniences in different parts of the city are also under construction. Apart from it Municipal Corporation got Rs 10 crore for over all development.
He said that committees were constituted to maintain city parks and committees of three most well maintained parks would be awarded.
He said that as a measure to maintain proper cleanliness, the city has been divided into five zones.
