2 Dec :On the eve of World Disabled Day, the Haryana govt announced a monthly allowance of Rs 300 each to disabled out-of-school children below the age of 18.Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said the government would launch three more schemes in the fiscal for the disabled, a statement said on Tuesday.
The proposed schemes include ‘deployment of care-givers for persons with special needs, funding of local level committees for disabled and insurance scheme ‘Nirmaya’.
He said the schemes being developed in collaboration with the National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities, would be implemented on share basis by the Centre, National Trust and the state government.
Under insurance scheme ‘Nirmaya’ persons with special needs below the income level of Rs 15000 p/m would be given free insurance cover.
