CHANDIGARH–The NSS unit of PEC University of Technology has collected an amount of Rs. 40,000 from the students, staff and faculty of the institute for the victims of the Nepal earthquake.
Dr. Manoj K Arora, Director-PEC University of Technology, Chandigarh, handed over the cheque to the Director, NSS, Government of India, Dr Girish Tuteja for the PMO’s Relief Fund. The function was held here on Tuesday.
Dr Arora highlighted the various activities and projects undertook by the NSS unit of PEC to the guests. While speaking on the occasion Dr Tuteja acknowledged and lauded the initiatives undertaken by the NSS volunteers and motivated the youth to serve the society in a better way.
Mr Bikram Rana, SLO, NSS Cell, Chandigarh, who was also present on the occasion said that the Chandigarh NSS Cell has written a number of success stories and carved a niche for itself across the country.
Dr. P. J Singh (Dean Student Affairs) appreciated the efforts of the NSS PEC Unit for their contribution towards the society.
