Chandigarh : The Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) is receiving an overwhelming response to the recently launched ‘Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon’ Scheme throughout the State.
While stating this here today, Mr Nitin Yadav, Managing Director, UHBVN, said that the Raiwali feeder of Panchkula constituency is the first feeder in the State where the first stage of the scheme has been completed by the Nigam with the active support of villages of Raiwali, Gazipur, Shamroo and Tepla.
He said that the other feeder where the first phase of the scheme has been completed are Dabri feeder of Karnal constituency covering the Dabri village, and Galib Kheri feeder of Nilokheri constituency covering the village of Galib Kheri, Chander Khera and Dayalpur. Under the scheme, the activities of accurate meter reading with replacement of old meters and shifting of the meters outside the premises, providing new connections on the spot and replacement of normal wires with Aerial Bunched Cable is undertaken in all these villages.
In all of these constituencies the second feeder with least distribution losses is being finalized for the implementation of the scheme, he added.
Meanwhile, the supply hours to these villages where the first phase of the scheme is completed would be increased from the existing 15 hours to 18 hours a day, which is a landmark achievement for the consumers of the area concerned as well as the Nigam.
Keeping in view the commitment of the Government to provide quality power to all the sections of the society, there has been a very positive response in the rural areas to avail the benefits of the scheme, thus paving the way towards economic evolution of Haryana and its people.
